Keyless Entry System
Keyless access systems are a good method to secure your rental property without physical keys. These systems allow guests as well as tenants to access the building with either a code or their smartphones. They also integrate with intercoms to offer audio and video communications, providing different ways for people to access the building. Certain keyless entry systems employ cloud-based technology that allows them to be managed remotely. They also have more advanced features.
You can install a keyless entry system in any type of property whether residential or commercial. First, the hardware needs to be installed at every entryway. The system is then configured and managed via a central console or a smartphone application. According to Technavio the keyless entry system market is expected to grow at an annual rate of growth between 2016 and 2022 of 11.8%. The growth in the market is attributed to the increasing demand for security systems for commercial vehicles.

Many people fear getting locked out of their homes, and so they tend to keep keys in a safe location. This poses a serious security risk as criminals are aware of where people store their spare keys and will easily find them. Installing a keyless entry system at your residence is the best method to avoid this. This will ensure that you aren't ever being locked out of your house again.
Transponder Chip
The transponder, or "chip key" is a microchip which is built into the head part of your car keys. It's one of the most vital safety features for your vehicle. The term "transponder" is derived from the combination of transmitter and responder which is because, when the key is put into the ignition and turned on, the antenna ring on your car transmits a flash of radio frequency energy to the transponder chip. The chip responds by sending its unique identification code back to the antenna ring. The computer in the car analyzes this data and determines whether it is a valid or not.
The key must be a transponder key to start the car, if it's not, the vehicle will remain unresponsive. The chip is protected by a special layer of polycarbonate which prevents it from being copied or duplicated using regular mechanical keys. Beishir Lock and Security offers an extensive selection of transponder keys at a fraction the cost of car dealers.
Transponder chips began to gain popularity in the 80's when GM introduced them into the Corvette. This technology drastically reduced vehicle thefts because it rendered hot-wiring obsolete in the past. This is the simplest explanation of chip keys. If you have further questions, please contact us.
Immobiliser System
The engine immobiliser (also known as the anti-theft system) is a crucial aspect of your vehicle's security. When you connect the Smart Key or ignition switch into your car, the transponder in the key transmits a code. The ECU checks that the code sent by the chip is identical to the one it has stored and then only allows the engine to start.
This is the primary way the immobiliser on your car can prevent theft. If the chip's code does not match the code on the ECU will stop the flow of current from the fuel pump relay to the injection system and block the engine from getting started. The immobiliser can also disable the starter motor or ignition coil to stop the engine from being forced to start.
Unfortunately this system isn't completely secure. The code used to unlock the immobiliser of your car could be hacked by thieves and used to open it. However, the newest versions of these systems feature a a longer cryptographic sequence that should be harder to deduce.
Since 1998 immobilisers on cars have been obligatory. However, many cars already had basic systems. While immobilisers make it harder to steal a vehicle, it doesn't stop thieves from towing your vehicle away or breaking in to steal your belongings.
Key Replacement
Losing a key or remote fob can be costly and can be a hassle. A locksmith will need to gain access to the car, decode or run the VIN and then reprogramme the new replacement to erase any old signatures on the computer for all the keys that have been lost, stolen or damaged.
The cost of replacing a key will be more expensive if your car includes a transponder, or an integrated security chip. The chips transmit signals to your car to confirm that you are the driver and allow the doors to be opened or the engine started. The cost for the replacement of a smart key is $160.
